ParanoiaFF

The ParanoiaFF is part of the second generation of the Paranoia2 family. It incorporates fibre channel host and tape interfaces to allow it to be used in the newer SAN configurations where Fibre Channel tape drives are being utilised.

ParanoiaFF can be used in full fabric, point to point and arbitrated loop infrastructures making it an affordable and easily configured solution for data storage encryption, for use in both archive and backup systems. The unit automatically detects the WWN of the connected tape drive and sets the ParanoiaFF published WWN to the same to ensure a smooth a straightforward integration into the current environment.

The optional network connection allows for remote management, monitoring and auditing of the unit. When used with the optional iCard and iSecure SmartCard software the key and password management can be securely controlled from a central location.

ParanoiaFF is fully compatible with the Paranoia2 SCSI units and the SafeTape range of secure tape drives for greater flexibility.

The ParanoiaFF offers a simple and straightforward means of adding removable storage security to existing tape and optical discs units without the need for changes in the operating system, backup software or procedures. With minimum downtime to install and no re-training of staff needed; the ParanoiaFF allows companies to meet the requirements of compliance regulations in the easiest way.
