StoreVault Replication provides simple, easy-to-manage off-site data protection. It is based on Network Appliance SnapMirror technology and replicates data to one or more StoreVault S500 appliances in multiple fashions, including one to one, one to many, many to one, and round robin. Replication is a useful tool for offsite
backup, data distribution, or simple round-robin geographic disaster insulation. Source data can be automatically updated to remote StoreVault units while the locally created originals remain in service. Replicated data is periodically updated to remain current and available for applications such as disaster recovery, offloading tape backup, read-only data distribution, testing on nonproduction storage systems, online data migration, and more. |
