HP StorageWorks SSL1016 tape autoloader

Combining tape library features and capacity in the compact form of a tape autoloader, the HP StorageWorks SSL1016 tape autoloader is in a class of its own. Ideal for replicated systems, the web-based management feature reduces dependence on local IT resources allowing multiple sites to be supported centrally. With a native capacity of up to 3.2 TB, the SSL1016 can tackle many jobs that have previously been in the domain of small tape libraries. At 2U in height, the SSL1016 provides a large amount of data storage without consuming a large amount of valuable rack space.

The SSL1016 offers customers the choice of purchasing an autoloader equipped with Ultrium 460, SDLT320 drives. All tape autoloaders arrive rack-ready, but a tabletop installation kit is included for those who choose not to rack the autoloader. A user-enabled, dedicated import/export slot is also part of the configuration. Now a standard feature, the bar code reader facilitates overall media management.
