The HP StorageWorks 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloader offers exceptional dense storage value for basic data protection Ideal as an entry-level automated backup solution for small to medium sized businesses it combines storage density and tape library features into a compact 1U form factor. With compressed capacity (2:1) of up to 12.8 TB using LTO-4 Ultrium tape drive technology, the 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloader will provide cost-effective, easy-to-install unattended backup.

  • Integration of the HP StorageWorks LTO-4 Ultrium 1760 SCSI Tape Drive.
  • IPv6 network protocol support. Autoloaders can now be connected over both IPv6 and IPv4 networks.
  • Autoloaders have obtained the IPv6 Ready, Phase-2 logo.
  • LTO-4 Ultrium autoloader-enabled encryption to protect your data from unauthorized access.
  • HTTPS support for authenticated and encrypted transfers over the Internet.

The 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloader is equipped with one LTO Ultrium SCSI or SAS tape drive and can hold up to eight data cartridges. In order to easily manage your media, standard features include a bar code reader and two removable 4-slot magazines. Perfect for replicated systems, the web-based remote management interface reduces dependencies on local IT staff, allowing multiple sites to be supported centrally. All 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloaders include HP Data Protector Express Single Server Edition Software for Windows, Linux and NetWare.
