Xyratex’s RS-1600-FC-SBD, also available in an extended chassis as the RS-1602-FC-SBD, is a 2Gb Fibre Channel SBOD solution that uses embedded technology to create a high-performance, point-to-point switched connection between the storage controller and the individual drives, offering substantially improved read/write performance levels, up to 0.8 GB/sec per enclosure in standard operation or 1.6 GB/sec when utilizing Trunking.
