Quantum DPM5500 addresses the most significant backup challenges facing IT professionals: meeting short backup windows, having confidence that backups are complete, and having the ability to quickly restore data when needed. DPM5500 builds upon the Microsoft Data Protection Manager 2006 value proposition through a sophisticated, yet easy-to-implement 5U (rack-unit) appliance with a choice of 6 or 12 terabyte capacity and RAID 5 protection. The appliance can be easily integrated into the network via dual Gigabit Ethernet ports and TOE (TCP/IP offload engine) capabilities. Enterprise-class features such as redundant and hot-swappable fans, hot-swap disk drives and redundant power offer high availability.
