The Sun StorEdge 3910 systems offer Sun customers integrated storage systems optimized for clustering and focused applications such as HPC and DSS. In addition to being completely integrated and pre-tested, these complete systems are based on the proven Sun StorEdge T3 array and include Fiber Channel switches, a Storage Service Processor, and call-home functionality (the service is optional).This represents a new approach to providing storage systems to customers. Instead of requiring the customer to "piece" together individual storage components, the Sun StorEdge 3910 appears as a "storage system in a box."
