product_imageThe SUN E3500 consists of a floor standing pedestal unit that support up to five expansion boards, three power supplies and up to eight FCAL hot plug internal Fibre Channel disks. The Enterprise 3500 requires a minimum of one I/O board and accepts a maximum of four CPU boards. Each CPU board can be fitted with up to two 167Mhz, 250Mhz, 336Mhz, 400Mhz or 464MHz UltraSPARC II processors.
  • Up to 8 UltraSPARC-II CPUs with Primary: 16-KB instruction + 16-KB data on chip and up to 8-MB external cache per CPU
  • Up to 5 system boards, supporting 2 CPUs and 16 memory SIMMs
  • Up to 8GB of memory
  • 2 RS232/423 ports on clock board, SBus 64-bit data bus 25 MHz, PCI 64-bit data bus 66 MHz, 10/100 Base T
  • One 184-watt AC peripheral power supply standard; optional 195-watt second peripheral power supply available
  • Up to 3 hot swappable 300-watt Power Cooling Modules (PCM) with redundant, dual-speed fans
  • On-board 20-MB/sec fast/wide SCSI-2 (synchronous) per I/O board
  • 2 on-board fibre channel sockets (100 MB/sec full duplex) per SBus and Graphics I/O boards
